Reelflex flexible circuits offer a cost effective solution for high volume surface mount (SMT) electronic assembly. They represent a significant step in electronics manufacturing by providing a combination of Sheldahl's Reelflex flexible circuitry on Philips ReelMount™ surface mount assembly line effectively delivering thousands of populated circuits ready for further value added assembly.

Reelflex circuits are processed with Sheldahl's state-of-the-art roll-to-roll processing systems. It provides a continuous process for flexible circuit assembly. Fabricated circuits are produced on a substrate up to 1,000 feet in length. Reelflex circuitry is possible with conductors as small as 0.006" and holes down to 0.020" on both single and double sided circuitry. Copper conductors are surface treated for solder assembly and can be provided with patterned solder mask.

The combination of Philips, ReelMount with Sheldahl's Reelflex circuit means complete automation in very high volumes with low assembly costs, minimal manpower and greatly simplified logistics.
