It is our commitment that our
customers' production is not affected due to their inability to obtain tape. We make our
full time staff (field sales or in-house team) easy to contact. We maintain a complete
inventory that is replenished daily.
Sheldahl's experience includes
work on unique combinations of abrasive backers and backer fillers developed by
manufacturers around the world. A quality butt splice requires that the abrasive backer
filler must be scuffed, cleaned or abraded to provide a surface ideal for the adhesive to
achieve optimum bond.
Tape selection and manufacturing process can vary depending
on the coated abrasive manufacturer. Sheldahl has invested in
a splicing lab with a variety of equipment for splice preparation, coating and assembly.
This allows us to assist customers to develop superior splices. Customers are invited into
the lab to work with the Sheldahl technical staff. Alternatively, you can send us samples
knowing that we will develop the optimum splice and respond with our recommendations.
